We can accept orders up to three days after your event, but we recommend reserving your spot at least 2-3 months in advance so you can plan all of the arrangements of getting your frame to us. BUT we understand seeing your flowers on your special day and having the gut wrenching feeling of them going into the trash. That is why we are here!
-
The quicker, the better! We recommend overnight/express shipping them and that we receive your flowers no more than 3 days after your event for your flowers to be in the best condition possible. They are usually workable within the week. We take a picture of your flowers, in the condition that they are in upon arrival, before they head into the press.
-
Unfortunately we do not work with dried flowers. Dried flowers are too fragile and break into pieces when pressed with our traditional pressing methods.
-
Yes! We love creating pieces for your home or a loved one as a special reminder of any event or special memory. Whether it is a funeral, anniversary, holiday, or just because flowers - we are here to capture that moment in time!
Head to our “custom preservation” page and complete your order as guided.

Peace of Wild takes orders from all across the US. Shipping is not a problem and there are easy ways to get your flowers safely to our studio. Once you have purchased and reserved your spot on our calendar for a custom piece, we will email you shipping instructions, along with how to keep your flowers fresh until we receive them. Please plan on paying anywhere from $40-$400 to ship your flowers our way, depending on where they are coming from. This cost is not included in the purchase of your frame.
-
Before mailing or dropping them off, make sure to keep them in a cool place or in water with fresh cut stems. You can keep them in the refrigerator or in a dimly lit area before packaging. Make sure they are in water and out of direct sunlight.

The process as a whole can take up to 15-18 weeks. While this may seem like a long time, it is a slow, patient, and meticulous process. We promise it is worth the wait.

Pressed flowers are able to maintain their natural color for many years, however, flowers will fade for their entire lifetime. Some flowers fade more than others in the pressing process while others will fade to a natural hue. If you take care of your frame, additional fading can be minimized. The more your frame is exposed to sunlight, the greater chance and speed of fading. We do have the option to add UV protected glass to your frame. While it is extra and does not prevent fading entirely, it does slow the fading process if exposed to natural light.

Some flowers are more difficult to press than others, but we try our best to press and preserve all flowers included in your bouquet. Every flower is unique and requires different attention. We deconstruct some types of flowers and then reconstruct them once they are preserved to keep the shape, color and quality in tact. We cannot guarantee that all flowers and greenery will press perfectly. We use whichever flowers come out of the press looking their best and include them in your design.
We press white flowers or all white bouquets, but we will say that they are harder to press and keep a fresh white color. They brown the easiest. We love and recommend color in your bouquet if possible for a more vibrant and bright result!

We preserve flowers with a handmade wood press. Pressure is gradually applied to extract water and flatten petals and leaves. The process is a slow art form and one that requires plenty of care and attention. While it is great fun to press flowers on your own, we recommend leaving sentimental flower preservation to a professional to ensure the best quality possible. Once all the flowers are done in the press, it is time to design your frame.
-
No, we do not use color correction on your flowers. We believe that part of the beauty of the art of flower pressing is watching the natural progression and change of the petals we press over time. Some colors last longer than others, some change to a different natural hue, and some become translucent - each beautiful in each of their lives. We are preserving memories which fade and change over time. Your flowers will do the same.

Unfortunately we only work within the United States at this time.
